The following research directions are developed in the MST department:

• Vacuum equipment and material processing technologies. Obtaining wear-resistant and hard coatings and coatings with a decorative purpose;
• Methods for obtaining ultra-dispersed (nano) structures by plastic deformation of materials. Modeling and simulation of plastic deformation processes;
• Precision casting methods and technologies. Micro/nano technologies for material processing and rapid prototyping (RP) methods;

Modern methods and technologies for welding materials.
